What companies most often deal with

Our services for companies

How cooperation usually works

01

You briefly explain the hiring, reporting, or compliance issue that needs to be solved.

02

We confirm the correct route, deadlines, and who prepares what on the company side.

03

We set the documents and next steps up so the process stays usable for future hires as well.

What we usually need from you

  • a basic description of the role and cooperation model
  • the worker’s nationality and current residence status
  • a draft contract or assignment scope
  • any existing authority communication, if already available
  • a list of workers or open cases in scope
  • the current internal workflow or cooperation expectations

Where companies most often lose time

  • no one internally owns the reporting, timing, and document control
  • different work routes are merged into one inaccurate assumption
  • the case is only opened when the start date or deadline is already close

Quick answers for employers

When does a foreign worker’s start need to be reported?

A foreign worker’s start must be reported to the Labour Office no later than before the actual first day of work. In practice, we recommend reporting it as soon as the start date and supporting documents are confirmed.

What is the difference between an employee card and a work permit?

An employee card is a dual document serving as both residence permit and work authorisation. A work permit only authorises work and is often combined with another residence title.

Example of a real case

A first foreign hire without unnecessary chaos

A Prague manufacturing company was hiring its first worker from abroad and had no internal process for reporting, documents, or follow-up steps.

The company handled its first hire with a clear timetable and without last-minute improvisation.
